I know everyone by now has seen
the new Cadillac commercials where OnStar and AT&T have paired up to make
one of the coolest things the car industry has seen thus far. With all new 2015models of Cadillac Buick, and GMC you car will become a WIFI Hotspot. (Minus
the Traverse, Acadia and Enclave. You have to wait until 2016 for those models)
How you ask? With
AT&T 4G LTE. I know some of you are saying great now I have to get another
cell phone contract but that’s the beauty of it, you don’t!
So let me break this
down for you, for your first 3 months of owning your new 2015 Cadillac, Buick,
or GMC you get 3GB of data for free all thanks to OnStar. No more long road
trips with the kids racking up your data because their tablets and smart phones
are using it up. The best part is you can pay for data as you go. So if you
just want it for your long trip next month to the Cape, just hit your OnStar
button and they will assist you with how much data you would like and you will
see it on your next bill. (See no need for another phone contract) Or if you’re
going on a romantic get away without the kids, you can still stay in touch with
out going over your data on your phone plans. Just another amazing feature GM
got a hold of before everyone else. Always putting our customers at ease!
Now I know not everyone
knows how fast data can go by so here is some examples with 1GB of data you can
send and receive around 1,000 emails with photo attachments, 29 hours of
surfing the web, 1 hour of streaming videos, 9 hours of streaming music, post
140 social medias posts with pictures, and download 10 apps/games/songs. And
that is just with 1GB imagine what you could do with 10GB....you can do 10,400
emails with pictures, 286 hours of surfing the web, 11 hours of streaming
videos, 86 hours of streaming music, 1,360 social media posts with photos and
100 apps/games/song downloads! That is amazing if you ask me.
